The AFOYI SMS platform is a combined hardware and software solution that gives your school or business the capability to send short text messages to virtually any mobile in the World.
The platform is available in two configurations.
AFOYI Hosted Version
In this configuration AFOYI owns and runs the hardware component and your business purchases a licence for the software component. Message credit blocks are purchased in advance (see below for pricing) and must be kept in credit. Unused message credits will expire 12 months after purchase.
Messages are sent across the Internet using a secure link from the software running on your computer to our facilities in Adelaide and are then injected into the mobile phone network.
Important note: Messages sent using the AFOYI hosted version will appear to be from one of the phone numbers allocated to AFOYI. We are currently investigating the possiblility of being able to change the phone number that appears on the recipients phone.

Message Credits
The following pricing applies for the purchase of message credits.
Credits expire 12 months after purchase. A notification email will be sent one month before credit expiry and also when there are 100, 25 and no messages left.

Self-Hosted Version
In this configuration AFOYI will supply your business with the hardware and software required to operate the system. You will be responsible for supplying a SIM card that is connected to the appropriate plan for your usage. AFOYI is able to provide assistance and recommendations on finding a suitable plan.
Messages are sent across your internal network from the software running on your computer to the hardware running in your server room. From there the messages are injected into the mobile phone network using a GSM modem.
Messages sent will appear to be from your own SMS phone number, so the recipients are able to store that number in their contacts list and any messages will have your name shown.
Incoming messages will be received by the hardware system and can either be viewed in the software client or emailed to a designated email address.
